KAREN M. CORRIGAN (nee Kleinshrot), age 69 was born on November 15, 1946 in Painesville and passed away on March 22, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack; loving mother of DeeAnna Thayer (husband Steve, deceased), Laurie Romig, Joseph, Sean (wife Jennifer), Shannon Humberson, Patrick (wife Lindsay), and the late Danny, Donna, and Baby Corrigan; devoted grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 2; cherished daughter of the late Kenneth and Catherine (nee Welch) Kleinshrot; dearest sister of Mary Ann Ricketts (husband Victor, Sr.), Keith Kleinshrot, Michael Kleinshrot (Mary Regina), Patrick Kleinshrot, Christopher Kleinshrot and the late Kenny Kleinshrot. She is survived by her feline companion Mr. Gray.
Karen was a resident of Chardon since 1989, formerly of Painesville. She was a life-long parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church. Karen attended Riverside High School in Painesville, enjoyed spending time with her family and being a homemaker. She loved watching car racing, High School football, and fishing in Canada. Karen told many stories of her family history and events. She adored animals, especially dogs and cats. Karen will be remembered by her family and friends as a hardworking, dedicated, strong-willed and passionate woman who lived for her family and leaves the quote: “I gave you roots and now I give you wings.”
Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church 401 North Street, Chardon at 11:30 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Karen at THE CHURCH TUESDAY MORNING 10:30-11:30 AM.
