JULIUS EUGENE “JULIO” RASOLETTI, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2011, beloved husband for 68 years to Norma (nee Koberna), father of Elaine Chorich (Louis, Jr.) (of Aurora), Ronald (deceased) (Kay), Robert (deceased) (Nancy), and William (Vickie) (of Munson), grandfather of Louis Chorich, III M.D. (Jan), Christine Smallridge (Ben), Susan Chorich (deceased), Alyssa Rasoletti, April Mayer (Eric), and Adena Loranger (Paul), great-grandfather of 6, son of the late Achille and Josephine (nee Farroni), dear uncle and cousin of many.

Julius grew up in Cleveland Heights, graduated from Shaw High School, played football, baseball and track, competing against the great Jesse Owens. He attended Fenn College of Engineering. He was employed by National Acme Co. engineering parts for fighter planes during WW II and the Case Machine Co. before founding Safe-Way and Easy Lift Door and Operator Companies. He retired at age 75 as general manager of United Sales Products. He was a founding member of the Holy Name Society of Christ the King Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus (Gilmour Council # 310). He enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He loved life, but most importantly his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 10, at Our Lady Chapel at Gilmour Academy, 34001 Cedar Rd., Gates Mills at 11:00 AM. Private interment at Calvary Cemetery.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Julio at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 4-8 PM.
