Affectionately known as Dju Dju, Juliana was born on June 23, 1934, in Santo Antao, Cape Verde, where she grew up before immigrating to the United States at the age of 17. Once in Cleveland, Ohio, Juliana married the love of her life, Eurico. Together they built a house in Willoughby Hills, which she effortlessly made a home for her family. Juliana made a career as a seamstress; however it was her devotion to caring for her family that gave her the most fulfillment. While raising her children, she made weekly visits to family members which created memories for her children that they will forever cherish. She and Eurico often traveled to the east coast to see family. Juliana’s relatives looked forward to visiting the Monteiro home during the holidays, as she always hosted the greatest Christmas and New Years parties. The past few years for Juliana consisted of scenic car rides, dining out and simply enjoying being outside in the sun admiring her flower garden. On January 13, 2024, Juliana passed away surrounded by family who will forever miss her strong will and endless love.
