Judith Ann Miedema

JUDITH ANN MIEDEMA, ESQ, age 67, beloved wife of the late Richard G. Storm; cherished daughter of Nancy Hanna (nee Warren) (husband George) and the late Gerald J. Miedema, DVM; dearest sister of Steven F. Miedema (wife Delma), James W. Miedema (wife Sharon), Lauren E. Hanna (husband Michael DePree) and Kurt W. Hanna; dear aunt and friend of many. Survived by her canine companion, Rebel. 

Judith was born in San Francisco, California on October 3, 1956.  After moving to Ohio, she graduated from Kenston High School in 1975, received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in 1979 and earned her law degree from Akron University.  Being a strong, intelligent and inquisitive woman, Judy went on to become an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Geauga County and a Geauga County Magistrate.  Prior to her legal profession, she was an air traffic controller and later an entrepreneur of her own business.  As a teenager, Judy was very active in Girl Scouts and was a certified water safety instructor.  Hobbies included travel, swimming, reading and listening to rock-n-roll music.  Judy was also an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Her family describes her as social with a wonderful sense of humor, and a loyal friend to others.  Judith passed away on January 26, 2024 and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Judith at The DeJohn Funeral Home and Celebrations Center of Chesterland, 12811 Chillicothe Rd (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)
