Josephine Fucci

JOSEPHINE M. FUCCI (nee Vigliotti), age 88, beloved wife of the late George; loving mother of Jean Colarik (husband Thomas) and Mary Jane Melfi (husband Anthony); devoted grandmother of Jacqueline Deegan (husband Paul) and Christina Colarik; treasured sister of Jane Lettieri (husband Dominic, deceased) and the late Patrick Vigliotti (wife Rose Marie); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Josephine was a resident of Mayfield Heights since 1963, formerly of Cleveland. She was born May 24, 1927 in Cleveland and graduated from Jane Adams High School. Josephine was a faithful parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi for over 50 years, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She retired from Progressive Insurance in 2011 where she worked as a Draft Analyst. Josephine loved cheering on her favorite Cleveland teams, the Cavs and Browns. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, cleaning and gardening. Josephine’s favorite music to listen to was Big Band Music, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. Her family is what gave Josephine the most enjoyment in life. Josephine was independent, determined, and hard-working. She will be remembered most as a feisty, strong-willed, generous woman.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Josephine at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
