JOSEPHINE C. McDONALD (nee Cashiotta) age 84, loving mother of Steve and Gary (Michelle) McDonald; devoted grandmother of Justin Staszko (wife Kayleigh), Christopher McDonald and great-grandmother of Dominic Staszko; cherished daughter of the late Vito and Angeline (nee Santora) Cashiotta; dearest sister of Frances Fafrak (husband Paul), John Cashiotta, Joseph Cashiotta, and the late Helen Kawecki and Maryann Salomoni; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Josephine was born on January 29, 1937, in Cleveland, OH and passed away on August 28, 2021. She grew up in East Cleveland, moved to South Euclid, and was a resident of Mayfield Heights. Josephine proudly worked as a Spin Balancer at Morrison Products and worked for Ford as a Press Operator. She greatly enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, gardening, and baking her Italian cookies. Josephine was devoted to her family, friends at Schnurmann House, and her yorkies. She loved laying out lots of food on the table for all occasions, but especially Easter. Josephine was overwhelmingly generous, a social butterfly, caring, and maternal. She was the glue that held the family together and will be dearly missed by all.

Celebration of Life Service Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 12PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Josephine at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  THURSDAY 10 AM to 12 PM.
