Joseph Sawicki

JOSEPH M. SAWICKI age 92, beloved husband of Doris (nee Kling); loving father of Timothy (deceased) (wife Melissa), Cynthia Pawlowski (husband Daniel), and Christopher (fiancé Valeria Kantorowski), and father-in-law of Anne-Marie Sawicki; devoted grandfather of Mason (Lyndzi Ziegler), Brennan (Amanda Carty), Stephanie, Christine Neola, and Joseph Pawlowski and great-grandfather of Gabrielle, Taylor, and Wade; dearest brother-in-law of Marion Merrill, Thomas Kling, and the late Lois Vidra; dear uncle of Kim and Kathy Merrill, Michael and Denise Vidra, and Michele Vidra. 

Joseph was born on July 27, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in 1949. His interest in the field of law led him to continue his education at both Case Western University and John Marshall Law School. Joe proudly supported his community and church, St. Francis of Assisi, and was an intelligent attorney within many areas of the law. He was truly devoted to his family, faith, and community. He found enjoyment in reading, going for runs and hikes, working in his gardens, and playing volleyball. As a friendly and social man, Joe also loved going out to eat and traveling on cruises. On June 21, 2024, this most loving and kind soul passed away leaving his family and friends missing his sense of humor and never-ending love. 

Contributions may be made in memory of Joe to Hospice of the Western Reserve, PO Box 72101, Cleveland OH 44192. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, June 27, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040, at 10 AM. 

Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joe at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-7 PM.
