JOSEPH PINTO age 96, beloved husband for 68 years of the late Maria (nee Pucella); loving father of Rossana Cherubin (husband Carlos) and the late Italo Pinto; devoted grandfather of Annamaria Stankiewicz- Cherubin (husband Dariuz) and Alessandro Cherubin (wife Renee) and great-grandfather of Liliana and Valencia Cherubin; cherished son of the late Nicolangelo and Maria (nee Tarasco); dearest brother of Angela Brunetti (Giuseppe, deceased) and the late Silvio Pinto (Pasqualina, deceased) and Elio Pinto. Joseph was born in Oratino CB, Italy on February 12, 1929, to Nicolangelo and Maria Pinto. He later emigrated with family to Colonia del Sacramento Uruguay, and it was there that he met his wife Maria Pucella and grew their family with the addition of a daughter, Rossana, and a son, Italo. Joseph and his family emigrated to the United States in 1964, and moved to Cleveland Ohio so they could be close to other family members. He was a very great father and along with his wife, cared greatly for their son Italo, who was handicapped. Joseph was hardworking by nature and was employed in a variety of industries throughout his life, such as farming and construction to support his family. When he retired, he continued to keep his green thumb by tending to his vegetable garden. Joseph enjoyed card games, with solitaire being his favorite, but what brought him the most joy in life was dancing with his wife. He was a simple man who was also an undeniably supportive and accepting presence in the lives of his family and friends. Joseph passed away on March 16, 2025, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10 AM at St. John of the Cross Parish, 140 Richmond Rd, Euclid, OH 44143. Entombment following at Knollwood Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joseph at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY from 3-7 PM.
