JOSEPH JOHN TIMKO age 54, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer. The beloved husband for 13 years of Kelly (nee Roose); cherished son of Edward and Rita (nee Primosch); devoted brother of Michael (wife Shari), Barbara Miller (husband Brian), Christine, Linda Sladky (husband Rob), Martin (wife Jennifer), and the late Jacqueline; dearest brother in law of Christine Carroscia (husband Chuck) and Dan Roose (wife Carrie); faithful companion of Jack, Louie, and the late Sammy; dear nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Joseph was born September 17, 1963. He grew up in Euclid and has been a resident of Avon Lake for the last 14 years. Joe was a proud graduate of St. Ignatius High School. He went on to graduate from John Carroll University where he played hard with his JCU football team, kicking the longest field goal ever, 52 yards! This record remains after 34 years. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Bay Village and previously St. William Catholic Church in Euclid. Joe was a Corporate Accountant at Park Corporation, celebrating 25 years of service August 9, 2018. His work brought him joy. Joe’s most enjoyment in life was spending time with his wife Kelly, their faithful companions Jack, Louie and the late Sammy, along with his family and friends. His strong faith was an inspiration to all. Joe was passionate about golf and looked forward to each and every opportunity to play the game. He enjoyed bowling, roller coasters, and sports in general. The Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins were at the top of his list. June was Joe’s favorite month of year and summer his favorite season. Vacationing was something he always looked forward to as well as the holidays. Joe was a beautiful life. A life filled with faith, grace, patience, love and kindness. He will truly be missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Ss. Robert and William Catholic Church, 367 E. 260th St., Euclid, 44132. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joe at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
