JOSEPH T. FORRISTELL age 77, beloved husband for 54 years of Beverly A. (nee Burgess); loving father of Thomas R. (wife Brenda) and Cynthia Asher (husband T.J.); devoted grandfather of Madison, Adam and Michael Asher, Alyssa and Bret Forristell; dearest brother of Mary Anne Ertle (husband John, deceased), John, James (wife Karin) and the late Charlotte Forristell; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.
Joe was born on January 8, 1940 in Cleveland and passed away on April 15, 2017. He was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 10 years, formerly of Highland Heights. Joe was an active member of St. Clare Catholic Church for 54 years. He was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, on the Pre-Cana Team, Renewal, Parish Council and taught PSR. Joe was a member of Mayfield Heights J.C. and a volunteer teacher for adult literacy development. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and from Cleveland State University. Joe was a claims manager for Cincinnati Insurance Company. He loved golf, bicycle riding, Broadway Theatre, boating and traveling, especially Ireland and cruises. Joe loved and was dedicated to his wife, family and friends. He will be remembered most as a social, giving, selfless, witty, loving, caring and faithful man. Joe will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Clare Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joe at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
