JOSEPH G. DiFIORI age 86, beloved husband for 66 years of Frances (nee Johnson); loving father of Vicki Croshier (husband Van, III), Toni Forte (husband Michael), and JoAnn Fischer (husband Frederick); devoted “grandpa Giuseppe” of Joseph Kocsis, Erin Kocsis, Jacob Bialosky (fiancé Courtney Sams) Michael Forte (wife Dana), Andrea Minello (Thomas Conklin), Elaine Forte (Ricky Frate), Van Croshier IV, Matthew Croshier, and Kendall DeWitt (husband Timothy), and great-grandfather of 17; cherished son of the late Joseph A. and Emma  (nee Salvatore); dearest brother of Donna Suster (husband Joseph) and Dan DiFiori (wife JoAnn); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Joe was born March 20, 1934  and passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2021.

Born in Cleveland, he lived in Mayfield Hts for the last 55 years. He had been an active member of both the St. Francis of Assisi  and St. Clare parishes.

Joe attended and graduated from East Tech High School in 1952. He went on to work as a laborer foreman and as a musician. A talented performer, Joe played the clarinet, drums and sang. He was a member of the Musical Gigolos from 1953 until 1975.  His favorite performer was Frank Sinatra.

Joe also enjoyed cooking, especially ribs. However, his family and singing are  what brought him his greatest joy in life.  Joe never met a stranger. He was well-liked and loved by many.  Joe was very outgoing and had a wonderful sense of humor. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to the  Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040.  Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joe at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
