JOSEPH L. CARESANI age 84, beloved husband of the late Eugenia (nee Krizman); loving father of the late Jacqueline Zupan (husband Edward); devoted grandfather of Ryan (wife Rachel) and Megan Zupan (Robert Dickenson); loving fiance of Pat Caprara; cherished son of the late Elia and Asunta (nee Coradi) Caresani; dearest brother of Robert (wife Lynne, deceased) and the late Elmo and Louis Caresani and Esther Berteotti; dear uncle of Louis, James, Carol, Victoria and many other nieces and nephews. US Navy Veteran.

Joseph was born on November 24, 1932 and passed away on February 13, 2017. He was a 20 year Highland Heights resident previously of Euclid. Joe was a parishioner of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. In the Navy Joe served as a “hurricane hunter” and as a gunner. He worked as a machinist for Eaton Axle and TRW. Joe played minor league baseball and was a sports fan following the Indians, Browns and Cavs and playing the horses. He enjoyed listening to Italian music and The Rat Pack. Joe loved gardening, storytelling, traveling, hunting and loved to talk to people. He was friendly, outgoing and a jokester with a sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and was the life of the party. He was handy with his technical abilities and his street smarts. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church at 11 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joe at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
