Joseph A. “Z” Zernic

JOSEPH A. “Z” ZERNIC age 55, beloved son of Jane (nee Kopylec) and the late Joseph; loving brother of Kim Gerrone, Chrissy Bretz (husband Dennis), Patty Sciarabba (husband Anthony), and Tom; dear uncle of Clay and Caylie Bretz, Anthony and Vince Sciarabba and dear friend of many.

Joey (known to has friends as Z)  spent his entire life in South Euclid. Joey graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School in 1984 and went on to attend Kent State University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1989.

He was a residential painter and was often found listening to Rock and Roll music as he worked. Joey enjoyed playing golf and racquetball. He loved playing blackjack when he visited the casinos in Las Vegas and liked watching horse racing. Joey was an avid Cleveland Brown’s fan.

Joey is remembered as a caring man. He had strong convictions and a great sense of humor. He was the life of the party.  Joey was devoted to his family, especially his mom. He had a generous and loving spirit and will be missed dearly by all.
