John Talnoris

JOHN TALNORIS age 74, passed away at home on February 4, 2021. He was the beloved husband for 45 years of Carol (nee Heinen); loving father of Christa Craven (husband Matthew); devoted grandfather of Julia and Jack; cherished son of the late Oskars and Elvira (nee Berzins).

Born in Germany to Latvian parents, John found himself on Ellis Island at the age of 4. He spent a short time in Pittsburgh but, as a life-long Browns fan, wouldn’t admit that to most. Upon moving to Cleveland, John went to Patrick Henry Junior High where he met the love of his life, Carol. It wasn’t meant to be at the time, but their story wasn’t over. After serving in Vietnam, John worked at Ardac Inc. where he travelled the world and rose to the level of President over his 32 years at the company. At Ardac, he reconnected with Carol and finally won her favor. John and Carol spent 45 years together before his passing. John was an avid golfer, a gifted woodworker and craftsman, a loving husband, adoring father who never lacked sage advice or a warm shoulder to cry or laugh on, and a proud grandfather. Though a man of few words, his heart was as big as his presence in the room and the love he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
