JOHN FRANK NEIBECKER, age 91, beloved husband for 38 years of the late Frances (nee Mangione); loving father of Angela Fabian (husband Michael), Michael (wife Connie), Robert (wife Mary), Rosemarie Wilson (husband Hal), Thomas (wife Mary), and the late John (wife Kathi); devoted grandfather of 23 and great-grandfather of 24; U.S. Army World War II Veteran.
John was born in Cleveland on May 6, 1927 and passed away August 8, 2018. He lived in Willowick for more than 50 years, and was a member of Divine Word Catholic Church in Kirtland. John graduated from East Tech High School, and attended Fenn College. He worked as a union bricklayer, and later as a timekeeper at TRW Textron. John was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a founding member of Magnificat Council #4498. He was also a founding member and the first president of Willowick Youth Football. John enjoyed bowling, golf, bocce, and dancing. His family gave him the most enjoyment in life, especially birthday parties, holidays, and vacations with them at Roundup Lake Campground. John was a loving, caring, honest, and intellectual man. He was fun-loving and willing to teach others and give generously of his time. He will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 13, 2018 at Divine Word Catholic Church at 12 Noon. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 3-7 PM.
