John Medvesek

JOHN H. MEDVESEK age 80, beloved husband for 55 years of Joan (nee Stanick); cherished son of the late John and Jennie (nee Stavange); dearest uncle of Sheron, Alex and Marie, great-uncle and “Papa John” of Philip.

John was born on July 27, 1938 in Cleveland and passed away on July 30, 2017. He was a resident of Euclid for 50 years and attended St. Mary’s Church in Collinwood. John graduated from Collinwood High School and was a member of Lodge 5 SNPJ. He was a Retiree of Dominion East Ohio Gas Company, volunteered at the Slovene Home for the Aged for 22 years and loved to play the accordion. John loved bowling and traveling, especially to Florida, Jamaica and Mexico. He will be remembered most as a positive, quiet, reserved, giving and generous man. John loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He will be dearly missed.

Prayers of Christian Burial Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME 28890 CHARDON RD., WILLOUGHBY HILLS (BETWEEN BISHOP RD AND RT. 91) WEDNESDAY MORNING 9-11 AM.
