JOHN A. “JACK” McKENNA, age 89; beloved husband of the late Victoria (nee Remkus); loving father of Elizabeth Crockett (husband William) of California; devoted grandfather of Katie Grant (husband Patrick), Kevin Crockett and a great-grandfather to be; treasured son of the late Lloyd and Helen (nee Schoendorf); cherished brother of Lloyd (wife Mary) and the late Eileen Ronn; dearest brother-in-law of Ann Goodoff, Sr. Ann Patrice, OP and the late Bea Alberty and Edward Remkus; loving companion of Babette Casey; fond godfather of Joseph Schubert; dear uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.
Jack was a resident of Mayfield Heights since 1962 and a member of St. Clare Catholic Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. A graduate of Cathedral Latin High School, Jack received his Bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and worked as a metallurgist at Park Ohio. In his free time, Jack enjoyed gardening, painting and spending time outdoors. He will be fondly remembered as an amazing grandfather who was fun to be around and had a great sense of humor.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 9:00 AM at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, Ohio 44143. Burial following with military honors at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jack at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) on FRIDAY from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
