JOHN F. “JACK” LAMBERT age 83, beloved husband for 61 years of Mary Lou (nee Kiernan); loving father of Lori Hoover (husband Jerry), Kathy Whitely (husband Dan), Patrick (wife Sara), Scott (wife Diane), and Mike (wife Jennifer); devoted grandfather of Jason (Julie), Ryan and Aaron Hoover, Gavin, Bryan, Morgan, Austin and Nolan Whitely, Brandon, Justin and Shawn Lambert, Jacob and Joshua Schwartz, Jordan, Logan, Matt and Robby Lambert and great-grandfather of Ava and Addison; dearest brother of Robert, and the late Loretta, Sr. Phylis S.C., Richard, Bernard (wife Genie) and Mary Ann Lavinsky; fond brother-in-law of Gene Nightingale, Maureen and Dennis Salettal; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.

Jack was born on February 8, 1933 and passed away on November 16, 2016. He was a 53 year resident of Lyndhurst previously residing in Cleveland. Jack was a parishioner of St. Clare Catholic Church for 53 years. He was a football coach, member of the healing ministry, Eucharistic minister, and part of the St. Clare renewal community. Jack graduated Holy Name High School, and went on to become an owner/operator for Nationwide Insurance Company. He was a sports fan, and enjoyed TV, especially Judge Judy. He loved his John Deere tractor. Jack was loving, compassionate, giving, faithful, and devoted to his family. He was the rock of the family and a straight shooter. You always knew where you stood with him. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at St. Clare Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jack at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 2-4 & 5-8 PM.
