John K. “Jack” Tomaselli

JOHN K. “JACK” TOMASELLI age 65, beloved and devoted husband for 43 years of MaryJane (nee DiPalma); loving father of Jennifer Remaley (husband Jeff) and Jonathon (wife Anastasia); devoted Grandpa Sprat of Jackson, Anthony, Jeffrey, Gianni, Zisi, Jayden, and Giorgio; cherished son of the late Louis and Marie (nee Sedlar); dearest brother of Paul, Sue, and the late Michael Tomaselli; treasured son-in-law of Gennaro and the late Nancy DiPalma; fond brother-in-law of Carmela and Joseph Hayes, Pat DiPalma (fiancé Mary Ann), and Julie Tomaselli; dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Jack was born on February 24, 1951 in Cleveland and passed away on June 9, 2016. He was a resident of Chesterland since 1995, formerly residing in South Euclid. Jack graduated from Benedictine High School in 1969 and attended Cleveland State University. He was owner/operator of Roberts Hardware for over 35 years. Jack was a St. Gregory the Great Church CYO Basketball coach. He loved to play basketball and follow high school sports. Jack enjoyed golf, boating, swimming in the ocean, yard work, socializing and loved to dance. He was a family oriented man who cherished spending time with his children and 7 grandkids. Jack will be remembered by family and friends as a hard worker, giving, loving, independent and selfless man who was always there for everyone. He was the life of the party, had a great sense of humor and loved to entertain family and friends. His patience and perseverance were strong personal attributes. To all who knew him, his actions spoke louder than words. Jack will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 12021 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland, OH 44106 at 10 AM. Burial following at Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jack at the DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center of Chesterland 12811 Chillicothe Road (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) on Monday 12-4 & 5-8 PM.
