JOHN J. “JACK” WALLACE, age 90, beloved husband of the late Doris (nee Ritondaro); loving father of Kathleen Howell (husband Jeffrey), Doreen Colello (husband John) and the late Brian (wife Linda); devoted grandfather of Gina Wallace, Daneen Ruggieri, Kate Howell Bullard (Peter), Kelly Howell Heimbecker (Justin), John Wallace, Danielle Ruggieri DeSatnik (Jason) William Wilson (Andrea), “Bestest” Friend Jianna Colello and great-grandfather of Anthony Palmer Wallace, Reagan Bullard, Kylie DeSatnik, William Henry Wilson, Jacob Wilson, and Anthony; cherished son of the late John and Inez (nee Phillips) and stepson of the late LeRoy Tucker; treasured brother-in-law of Joanne and Charles O’Malley; dearest uncle of Leslie O’Malley, Charles O’ Malley, M.D., (Susan M.D.), Robert O’Malley (Sonja) and great-uncle of 4; dear friend of many.

John was a Gates Mills resident previously residing in Highland Heights. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church. He enjoyed theater, directing, and acting. John enjoyed listening to Irish music. He received the most enjoyment in life from his family. John was lots of fun, outgoing, creative, friendly, a perfectionist, witty, and had a sense of humor. He was very strong willed and loving. He will be dearly missed.

WW II US Navy Veteran. Contributions may be made in Jack’s memory to Doris Wallace Scholarship Fund P.O. Box #272 Gates Mills, Oh 44040. Jack was a Navy Gunner’s Mate during WW II; spent 51 years with The Sherwin-Williams Co. and 58 years with Gates Mills Player and co-directed with Doris; past president of Gates Mills Improvement Society. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at Gates Mills North Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jack at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
