John Gross

JOHN J. GROSS, age 93, beloved husband of the late Lillian (nee Rudolph); loving father of John, Mary Anthony (husband Kevin), Lillian Fecek (husband John) and Tom (wife Cindy); devoted grandfather of Kyle Stimpert (husband David) and Bryan Anthony (wife Jessica); dearest son of the late Anton and Josephine (nee Strojen) Gross; treasured brother of the late Anthony, Frank and Mary Nemeth; dear uncle and great uncle of many.

John was born November 2, 1921 in Cleveland, OH.  He graduated from South High School.  John lived in Solon since 1990 and has been a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Collinwood for the past 65 years.  He was a WWII US Army Air Corp veteran.  John worked as a Supervisor for Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Company.  John was a hard worker, but also enjoyed fishing, gardening and fixing things in his spare time.  He will be remembered for his helpful, giving and generous nature, especially to his family.  John loved dogs and spending time with his grandkids.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 22, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 11 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 5-8 PM.
