John Gorican

JOHN GORICAN age 93, beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Mrak); loving father of Lea (David Herdman) and Barbara Rowane (husband Michael); devoted grandfather of Marija, Nada,  Juliana, Anja and Cecilija Rowane; cherished son of the late Miha and Marija (nee Jancic); dearest brother of Micka Prevolsek, Rudi, Tone and the late Joze, Teresa Strasek, Rozinka Gabersek, Franc and Miha; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

John was born on April 16, 1926 in Čačavas (Boč), Slovenia. He passed away peacefully on May 4, 2019. He was formerly a resident of Richmond Hts and Willoughby Hills. John was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Štajerški-Prekmurski Club. After graduating from high and agricultural trade schools in Slovenia. He immigrated to the United States in 1956 and established his own landscaping business. John enjoyed reading, studying geography, visiting museums, and listening to classical and dancing to polka music. John will be remembered as a hard working and humble man that was dedicated to his family, especially his faith and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed

Suite 120 Willoughby Hills, OH 44094.  Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial following at All Souls. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
