John Berkopec

JOHN BERKOPEC age 91, beloved husband of Antonia; loving father of Linda (husband Herbert); devoted grandfather of Ronald and Myron; dearest brother of Anton, Louis, Frances and Josepina; and other relatives in Slovenia and Canada.

John was born on January 18, 1927 in Novomesto, Slovenia and passed away on January 31, 2018. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Collinwood and belonged to Slovenska Pristava. John proudly worked as a carpenter and enjoyed playing Bocce and listening to Slovenian radio in his free time. He was happy and always had a smile on his face. John saw the good in everything and never had a bad word to say. He will be dearly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 5, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 15519 Holmes Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 3-7 PM.
