John Barni

JOHN J. BARNI, age 73, of Gates Mills, on February 15th joined his parents, sister and many cherished family members and friends who have gone before him in heaven.

Loving husband of Chris for 51 years. Proud father of Michael (Ann), David (Leslie), Tom (Melanie), Marie, Sue (Mike), Joe, Caroline, Pat, Diane (Kyle), and Colleen (Adam). ‘Grandpa Lego’ to 15 grandchildren whom he adored. Brother, uncle, colleague and dear friend to many.

John graduated from St Ignatius and went on to get his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He was the CEO of Tomotherapy. John was a member of St John of the Cross Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Finance Committee. He was also a Catholic Youth Organization coach for basketball and belonged to the St Ignatius Alumni Organization. His strong legacy will be honored by his loving family and shared through the innovations he pioneered in medical imaging and cancer treatment.

We will celebrate his life with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John of the Cross, 140 Richmond Road – Euclid, OH, on Friday, February 20th, 2015 at 11:00am. There will be a visiting hour with family at the church from 10:00-11:00am.
