JOHN ALLARD GRAVES age 91, beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee McCrane); cherished son of the late James L. and Mary A. (nee Kramer); dearest brother of James A. (wife Charlotte Mae), and the late Robert A.; dear uncle of Edward (wife Brenda), the late William (wife Larina) and great-uncle of Clara, Emily, and Edward. U.S. Army Veteran.

John was born on August 16, 1929 in Cleveland and passed away on July 25, 2021. He grew up in Euclid and was a resident of Highland Heights for 35 years. John was a member of the Highland Heights Lions Club and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in 1947, earned his undergrad at John Carrol University, and two master’s degrees at Case Western Reserve University in Chemistry and Business. He was a ceramics and aerospace engineer at several companies, including TRW. John greatly enjoyed making watches, playing golf in his free time, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.  He will be remembered for his kindness and helpfulness to everyone.  He was known for his intelligence and spectacular memory.  John was very social and enjoyed intelligent conversation. He loved parties and entertaining. John will be dearly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of John to St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143 at 10:30AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY MORNING 9-10AM.
