Emblem
JOANNE M. LEE (nee Dillon) age 92, beloved wife of the late James; loving mother of Karen (husband Linas Vysnionis), Stephen, Patrick, Diane O’Neill (husband Sean) and the late Michael (wife Linda); devoted grandmother of Jordan (Nikky Reed), Dylan, Jack Vysnionis, Jenneta Lee Killian (husband Joe), Alivia (fiancé Rob Cooney), Courtney O’Neill Youngblood, Gabrielle, Hugh, and Lauren O’Neill and great-grandmother of Alex, Magnolia and Gunner; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Hough) Dillon; dearest sister of the late Colonel Robert E. Dillon (wife Elizabeth deceased); dear aunt of Bob and Pam Dillon, Kathy Dillon, Debbie and Andrzej Bloch, Betsy Dillon and Patricia DaCosta and the late Michael Dillon.

Joanne was born October 27, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Immaculata High School in Detroit.  For the past 11 years, she has enjoyed her life residing at Breckenridge Village. Joanne’s faith-filled life at St. Paschal Baylon Church kept her actively involved as a bereavement group facilitator and a member of both the choir and rosary group. Volunteering also played an important role in her life. For many years, she volunteered at both Hospice of the Western Reserve and as an usher at the Cleveland Play House.  Earlier in her life, she excelled in the role of private secretary for 25 years. Joanne’s fun personality led her to playing cards with her Bridge group and traveling with friends. Having a huge heart, Joanne adored babies and cats.  During her alone time, she was an avid reader.  She had many joyful times celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas surrounded by her loving family. Joanne’s most enjoyable times and most valued memories were of those spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her treasured friends. Joanne passed away on April 7, 2024 and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
