Joan Kinnaird

JOAN A. KINNAIRD (nee Klouda) age 85, beloved wife of the late Wilhelm; loving mother of William (wife Margaret) and James; treasured mother-in-law of Mary Drost; devoted grandmother of Danielle Jocek (husband Mark), Amber Valek (husband Paul), James (wife Meghan), Ian and great-grandmother of Ashley, Jillian, Abigail, Collin, James, Weston, Jackson, Joseph and Madeline; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (nee Smrcina) Klouda; dearest sister of the late Joseph Klouda (wife Evelyn); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Joan was born on October 31, 1931 in Cleveland and passed away on June 12, 2017. She was a resident of Chesterland since 1954, formerly of Mayfield Heights. Joan was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chesterland where she was a Sunday School teacher. She graduated from John Adams High School and was a homemaker. Joan was a member of the Mayfield Heights Garden Club. She loved bowling, gardening, watching hummingbirds and traveling, especially cruises. Joan was a Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed listening to oldies and classical music. She will be remembered most as a strong-willed, generous, caring, social and witty woman with a sense of humor.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Monday, June 19, 2017 at 7:30 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joan at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  MONDAY 4-7:30 PM.
