Joan F. Podmore

Joan F. Podmore (nee Hocevar) age 68, beloved companion of Allen B.; loving mother of Craig Clapacs and step-mother of Maria Podmore and Jackie Johnson (husband Franz); devoted grandmother of Kayla Clapacs; cherished daughter of the late Frank Hocevar and Anna (nee Vidmar) Tercek (husband Charles, deceased); dearest sister of the late Nancy Mramor (husband Frank, deceased) and Carol Piccirello; dear aunt of twins Denise Bremec (husband Robert) and Debra Stella, Robert Mramor (wife Chris), Susan Mramor, and Sharon Gillen (husband Gary) and great-aunt of 10.

Joan was born April 9, 1950 in Cleveland and passed away November 20, 2018 in Leesburg, Florida.  She was a resident of Mentor for 30 years and has lived in Florida for the past 3 years.  Joan enjoyed boating, golfing, cooking, baking, piano, ceramics, swimming and crafts.  Her friends and family gave her the most enjoyment in life.  Joan loved spending time with her family especially during the Holidays.  She was loyal, funny, loving, giving caring and the life of the party.  Joan will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 AM at 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, Ohio 44094. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joan at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
