Jo Ann Pryor

JO ANN  M. PRYOR (nee O’Brien) age 83, beloved wife of the late John T.; loving mother of Cheryl Torres (husband Frank), Patricia (Roger Falasco) and Edith Tarantino-Melendez (husband Angel); devoted grandmother of Matthew, Josephine, Christina, Patricia (Justin Parsons), Keith, Alexandria, AJ, Erin, Shannon and great-grandmother of Ania; cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (nee Parks) O’Brien.

Jo Ann was born on November 6, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on July 13, 2018. She resided in Mentor for the last eight years, and prior to that lived in the Euclid and Mayfield areas. While living in Mentor, she was a parishioner of St. John Vianney, and before membership there she belonged to Christ the King and St. Williams Catholic Church. She loved taking part in helping with the flowers for Mary’s Day. Upon graduation from Shaw High School, Jo Ann worked as a teacher for St. Philomena School and Clerk of Courts for the East Cleveland Court. Her grandkids gave her so much enjoyment in life, as family was extremely important to her. Jo Ann was outgoing, resilient, and a strong woman. She always knew what was on others minds and was proud to be Irish. Jo Ann was protective and faithful to her family. She was witty, funny, and loved animals. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 7575 Bellflower Rd, Mentor, OH 44060 at 10 AM. Burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jo Ann at THE CHURCH TUESDAY MORNING 9-10 AM.
