Roland “Jim” Richmond

ROLAND JAMES RICHMOND, Jr. age 78, loving father of David (wife Angel) and James (wife Michelle); devoted grandfather of Justin, Andrew, Jason, and Hailey; cherished son of the late Roland J. Richmond, Sr. and Evelyn Richmond (nee Nemeth); dearest brother of Roslyn “Sue” Szego (husband Ron) and the late Virginia Levine and Calvin Coates; uncle of Deborah, Patricia, Michael, Jim, Kevin, Dan, Ron, David, and Alyson.

Jim was born on December 28, 1944, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Upon leave from the military, he attended Tri-C, to which he received an education in finance and worked many years as a financial advisor. Jim valued the art of collection, including coins and stamps. He loved cars and motorcycles, especially his corvettes and listening to classic rock. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii. On March 3, 2023, this hardworking yet quiet man passed away leaving his family and friends missing his kindhearted demeanor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Jim to the American Cancer Society

Prayers of Christian Burial Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial following at Chester Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Roland at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY 10-11 AM.
