Jeryl Ann “Jerry” Wasniak

Jeryl (Jerry) Wasniak passed away peacefully in her home on September 19, 2021. Jeryl resided at Hamilton House in Mayfield Heights for 10 years.

Jeryl Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence J. and Marguerite T. (nee Brennan). She is survived by her loving brother Clarence, his wife and devoted sister-in-law Paula, nephews Daniel (Rebecca), Christopher (Heather), Robert (Kara), five great-nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

Jeryl was a dedicated and faithful member at the Richmond Heights Church of the Nazarene. Her faith was strong, and she was always ready to contribute to her parish joyfully.  After receiving her paratransit bus pass, Jeryl was open to enriching her life and her skills. She worked at the gift shop at the Magnolia Clubhouse and her enthusiasm for life grew while working there. The Magnolia Clubhouse gave her purpose.  Through the years she understood herself and she often reminded others she had Asperger’s Syndrome. This allowed her to develop a giving, trusting and loving heart and she was able to show gratitude to her family and friends.

Jeryl was extremely social, with an optimistic joy for life. She was a survivor and with a sense of adventure.  Jeryl enjoyed being with her “lady friends”.  Jeryl always had gratitude in her heart for her friend, Jan Giles.  Jeryl had many hobbies and loved being an artist. She enjoyed creating jewelry, knitting, drawing and painting.  Some of Jeryl’s favorite times of the year included her traditional birthday dinners, the Magnolia Club holiday parties and Hamilton parties. Tradition and celebrating with friends and family were precious to her.

Family will receive family & friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Jeryl on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM.
