Jerry Huffnagle

JERRY W. HUFFNAGLE, age 79, beloved husband for 57 years of Alice (nee Auth); loving father of John (wife Michelle), Kirk (wife Kierston), and the late Jason; devoted grandfather of Tyler (wife Joei), Samantha, Matthew Murray, William, Ryan, Kevin Bonner, Gabrielle Kovach (husband Craig), Tyler Parsson, Nick Olivo and great-grandfather of Alice; cherished son of the late William and Marie (nee Walko); dearest brother of Jack (wife Madeline), Marlene Zucker (husband Jerome), dear brother-in-law of Albert and Bonnie Auth and the late Margaret Boothe uncle and great-uncle of many. Jerry has now been reunited with his faithful canine companion Grace of 13 years.

Jerry lived most of his life in Chesterland. He attended and graduated from West Geauga High School in 1959. He went on to attend Kent State University. Jerry worked as a service station manager for BP, Sohio, and Sunoco for over 30 years. He managed stations in Lakewood, Shaker Heights, Willowick and Mayfield Heights.

Jerry was a quiet man who loved being with his family doing projects or helping anyone who asked. He was very skilled and “there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do”. He enjoyed building and landscaping his home in Chesterland for 43 years and was devoted to his family. Jerry was an Indians fan and loved dogs, rescuing many over the years. But above all was devoted to his family. Jerry will be dearly missed.
