Jennie Stuart

JENNIE STUART (nee Soukup) age 95, beloved wife for 74 years of the late John; loving mother of John (Mindy), Judith Cosenza (Armand, deceased), Linda Loeser (Randolph, deceased), Gregory (Erika), Deborah Chlopecki (Richard), Robert (Lynda), Michael (Lora), and the late Victor; devoted grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 27; cherished daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn (nee Serra) Soukup; dearest sister of Delores ‘Dee’ Holmquist (Glenn, deceased) and the late James Soukup (Tina, deceased) and Antoinette ‘Toni’ McCluskey (Robert, deceased); fond sister-in-law of Charles Stuart; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Jennie absolutely put her family first in all things. She loved having her family up at Chautauqua, New York and she always had a spaghetti dinner ready for her family on Sundays and her famous salad dressing that no one could recreate. Her hobby was making ceramics for her family and friends. Each piece was made with love. She and her husband loved the song ‘Spanish Eyes.’ They loved traveling to New York City, San Francisco, Florida and especially Chautauqua, New York. She looked forward to the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, when she made loaves of bread and her Chadones. She was a true peacemaker and extremely selfless. Jennie was an avid reader who was hospitable and giving to so many. Devoted to her family and her faith Jennie leaves behind an unforgettable legacy and so many people who love her.

Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Jennie will take place Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish 1545 South Green Rd South Euclid. Burial has taken place privately at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
