Jennie Sterle

JENNIE R. STERLE (nee Jalovec) age 92, beloved wife of the late Leonard J.; loving mother of Marian Kelsey (husband Mark), Susan Marano (husband John), Leonard (wife Laurie) and Thomas (wife Debbie); devoted grandmother of Kevin (wife Kelsey), Scott (wife Genevieve), John and Erin Kelsey, Matthew and Michelle Marano, Lauren, Lance, Leonard III, Lee,  and Lindsay Sterle, Lisa Erman (husband Matt) and Brian Sterle; dearest sister of the late Ann Kretic and John Jalovec; dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Jennie’s family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Living Center in Wickliffe for their care and compassion.

Jennie was born on February 13, 1924 and passed away on January 20, 2017. She was an 8 year resident of Wickliffe previously of Highland Heights. Jennie was a parishioner of St. Noel Catholic Church since 2002. She was a member of the American Mutual Life Association Lodge #8, and the Highland Heights Women’s Club. Jennie was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards especially Pinochle, golf, and bowling. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and baking. She was also a fan of Big Band music, and Slovenian Polka. Her family gave her the most enjoyment out of life. Jennie was very family oriented, very social, and hardworking. Jennie was bright with a sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jennie at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-7 PM.
