Jeffrey and Kathryn Ferguson

Jeffrey S. Ferguson, age 69, and Kathryn J. (nee: Singleton) Ferguson, age 65, both of Chardon passed away together on July 4, 2024, following an accident in Windsor, OH. Jeff was born Oct. 15, 1954, in Chardon to Lester & Elizabeth (nee: Bleadingheiser) Ferguson and Kathryn was born Dec. 19, 1958, in Chardon to Leonard and Geraldine (nee: Skinner) Singleton and have both been lifelong Chardon area residents. They are survived by their sons Brandon (Ashleigh Greenwood) Ferguson of Wickliffe and Brent (Caragan) Ferguson of Orwell; grandchildren Carley, Norah, Cooper & Orisa. Jeff is also survived by his brother Timothy (Phyllis) Ferguson of FL and Kathy is survived by her sister Helen Burrow of Claridon Twp. They are both preceded in death by their parents. Jeff was also preceded in death by three half-siblings and Kathy is preceded in death by her siblings David “Rat” Singleton and Pamela Singleton. 

Jeff and Kathy were married on October 8, 1977, and remained happily married for the next 46 years together. Jeff worked as a machinist at HTS Systems, a computer programmer and recently as an associate at WalMart. Kathy worked at Sandborn Plastics, Giant Eagle and for the last 19 years at Chardon Tool. Together they enjoyed music, camping, gardening and cooking and baking. Together they enjoyed traveling to places like Chicago and Nashville to attend live music events. Their favorite place to travel was the western part of the United States, especially Yellowstone National Park. 

Jeff enjoyed art, photography, Indy Car racing and the Cleveland Browns. Kathy enjoyed reading, crocheting and finding a good deal. But their biggest joy in life was spending time with their friends and family, especially their grandchildren. The family will receive friends and guests from 5-8pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center 12811 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH.
