Jeanne Marie Meyers Egensperger

JEANNE MARIE MEYERS EGENSPERGER (nee Ackerman) age 93, a lifelong resident of Highland Hts, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family; beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. Meyers and Robert Egensperger; loving mother of Patrice “Pinky” Zirzow, Allen Meyers (wife Marian), Keith Meyers (wife Laurie), Evelyn “Lynn” Hindhaugh (husband Ted, deceased) and Mitchell Meyers (wife Amy); and step-mother of Alan (wife Val), Thomas, Scot, Suzanne Shuttleworth, and Richard Egensperger (wife Mary); devoted grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 13; cherished daughter of the late James and Eunice (nee Neely) Ackerman; dearest sister of  Thomas Ackerman (wife Martha), Charles Ackerman (wife Domenica) and Neil Ackerman (wife Ellen) and the late James Ackerman (wife Doris deceased) and the late Arthur Ackerman (wife Marian deceased); dear aunt, great-aunt of many. Mom and the family appreciate the care, love, and attention she received from Marlene Jones and the Cleveland Clinic Hospice team.

Jeanne graduated from Villa Angela High School in 1948. After Ken’s death, Jeanne continued running Ken’s Auto Service until she retired.  She was a charter member of Highland Hts Garden Club. Jeanne was an avid doll collector, amassing an amazing collection of dolls. She shared her passion as a longtime member of the Northern Ohio and Cleveland Doll Clubs. She also loved sewing, was a great seamstress, making porcelain dolls, traveling all over the world and loved Lake Chautauqua. Her family will remember her as social, friendly, loving, caring, happy, generous with a wonderful sense of humor. Jeanne was devoted to her family and her faith.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 8, 2023 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, Ohio at 10AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jeanne at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
