Jeanne Hazen, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend to many, passed away peacefully and was reunited with her one and only, Bill Hazen on July 20, 2024.
To know Jeanne was to love her, but truly to know her was to be loved by her. Our truest confidant and biggest cheerleader. She attended every sporting event, dance recital, high school and college graduation. We know how deeply she loved us. She never missed a chance to send a greeting card for birthdays, special events, or just because.
She put her family first and was always available to provide us with a listening and supportive ear. She knew exactly which saint we should pray to in each situation- in times of worry, she was there to ease our minds. Yet, she never wanted anyone to worry about her, like a true mother.
One of her greatest joys was working. She spent her years at her Alma mater as a library aid and in her later years was a secretary to the guidance counselors where she was able to watch her daughters and granddaughters enjoy their high school years. Notre Dame Academy/NDCL was so dear to her. She valued the friendships and students who touched her life. After her retirement in 2010, she channeled her energy into working part time at III Williams LLC., as well as helping neighbors in need and spoiling her dog, Jameson.
We ask that you wear blue to honor her memory.
