Jean J. Johanns (Butkus)

JEAN J. JOHANNS (nee Butkus) age 85; beloved wife for 51 years of the late Edward; loving mother of Thomas (wife Christine), Bruce (wife Tina), Kim Matsko (husband John), Craig, Michael (wife Rosie), Eddy (wife Cindy) and Jeff (wife Karen); devoted grandmother of Marie Jimenez (husband Roque), John Matsko, Jr (fiancé Casey Cunningham), Kelly DiCillo (husband Todd), Liz Munter (husband Scott), Michelle (fiancé Vlado Wirgha), Michael Matsko (fiancé Ariel Scoggins), Michael, Audrey Van Pelt (husband David), Jeff and great-grandmother of Jackie, Lucas, Emily, Brooklyn, Zachary, Campbell, River, Charlie and Noah; preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Jean was a resident of Willoughby Hills after living in Cleveland and Troy. A graduate of Collinwood High School, Jean worked as a seamstress for Richmond Brothers before she was married. She was a member of Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church and homemaker later in life and enjoyed bowling, sewing, traveling, dancing polkas and waltzes and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a fun, loving woman whose great sense of humor allowed her to laugh even at herself.

Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10:00 AM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Burial following at Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jean TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
