JANETTE A. MAUSSER (Annis) (nee Leduc) age 72, beloved wife of the late James; loving mother of Richard Annis-Hilliard (wife Monica) and Vicki Taylor (husband Dave); devoted grandmother of Selene, Aurora, and Iris Annis-Hilliard and Sierra Taylor; cherished daughter of the late Claude and Marian (nee Meyers) Leduc; dearest sister of Sue Gregg; dear aunt and cousin of many.
Janette was born on July 1, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on August 4, 2019. For the last 4 years she had been a resident of Chardon, OH., 20 years prior to that, Deltona, FL. to be with her parents and sister, and 20 years prior to Deltona, she lived in Chardon and raised her family. Jan graduated from Parma Senior High School in 1965, and later completed training and received her Underwriter Certification. She enjoyed listening and singing along to many genres of music, specifically classical music, the Eagles, Cher, and later country. She also relished spending time knitting and crocheting, which she won many ribbons for, being out on the water fishing, as well as showing Persian cats. Time for Jan was also well spent at the theatre, whether she was seeing Russian Ballet at Playhouse Square, Grease Musical by Chardon Highschool Drama Club, or Annie at Willoughby Fine Arts. However, it was horticulture and antiquing that she truly loved the most. Jan’s adoration for plants, especially orchids, was like no other. She appreciated the beauty of plants, and spent many hours landscaping, at “Whimsy the Cottage”, which was one of her favorite places. Her good eye and appreciation for a beautiful antique was like no other and gave her the ability to decorate beautifully. Jan was a strong and brave woman who knew how to enjoy life through a good laugh, and for that she will be dearly missed.
