Janet “June” Darden

JANET “JUNE” DARDEN (nee Wolinski) age 88, died peacefully on March 3, 2018. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Robert Alex Darden. Together they created five wonderful and caring children: Robin Darden Thomas, Barbara Deering (Jim), William (Rose), Susan Darden Kautz (John) and Robert. Grandmother of Tracy, Devin (Tara), Cory (Dave Gordon) and Kyle Thomas; Elizabeth, James III (Shelley) and Robert (Amanda) Deering; Kelly Devlin (Greg), Kim Henriques (Rob), Jillian Link (Ryan) and Madeline Darden (Tim Bach); Matthew Spolar (Abi Bryant), Janet, Caleb and Tessa Kautz; Beck and Reina Darden and Ricky Phend. Great-grandmother to Davis and Riley Thomas, Colton and Harper Deering, Miles and Mallory Devlin, Riley, Mia, Grant and Bryn Henriques. Loving Aunt to Germaine Spencer.

June graduated from Notre Dame High School, was active in the Euclid Jaycee Auxiliary and the Christ Child Society. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. June was the only child of Stanley and Germaine Wolinski. June and Bob loved to travel and saw most of the Caribbean Islands, much of Europe and parts of the Far East as well as Australia and New Zealand. Bob and June retired to Florida in 1997 but returned home to family and friends in 2013.

Mass of Christian Burial in memory of June will be held Saturday, March 10th at 12:30 p.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Mentor, OH. Private interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
