Jane S. Ludvik

Jane Ludvik (nee Shannon), age 68, passed away on March 3, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family. Jane was the beloved wife for 42 years of Edward; loving mother of Justina Davy (Daniel) and Anton Edward, and stepmother of Gregory; devoted grandmother of Jameson, Tristan and Audyn.

Jane was born to the late Francis and Helen Shannon (nee Petrocy) on May 28, 1956, in Cleveland, OH, the fourth of eight children in a large Irish-Catholic family; sister of Mary Dee Martin (Donald), Barbara, Raymond (Susan) and the late Edward, George, Francis and Judy Shannon. 

She attended Regina High School, Cleveland State University and lived a blessed and active life in northeastern Ohio, working at University Hospitals, Ernst & Young, LLP, and Steris Corporation. 

Jane and Edward were married on July 16, 1983, and couldn’t wait to start a family of their own. Her children, Justina Maria and Anton Edward meant the world to her, and she made it her life’s work to support their ambitions. She was their biggest cheerleader.

While she loved being a wife and mother, her favorite role was that of a grandparent. Affectionately named ‘Gaga’ by her three grandchildren, Jane was an active part of their daily lives and enjoyed spoiling them and loving them. Together, they enjoyed many things, including picnics at the local Metroparks, beach days at Lake Erie, and scouring local community sales for ‘treasures.’

Jane reveled in hosting family holidays and celebrations, always making sure each occasion was unforgettable for her cherished family. 

Jane was beloved for her warmth, sharp wit, and boundless love of family. Her vibrant flower gardens were a testament to her nurturing spirit, and she touched everyone she met with her humor and heart, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord, OH at 12NOON. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jane at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-7PM.
