Eva “Jane” Lafond

EVA “JANE” LAFOND (nee Maloy) (previously Bruening) age 86, loving mother of Maureen (Gary, deceased) Zimmer, Susan (Gary) Vehar, Laura (Tom) Emmerling, Carole (Gary) Englebrecht, Darlene Teachout, Janey (Nick) Bruening, and the late Michael Bruening and Sandy (Dan) Schnell; devoted grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 11; cherished daughter of the late Thomas Maloy and Eva (nee Bakely) Wiese; dear sister of Marilyn (Russell) Wylie.

Jane was born on April 1, 1935 in Warren, Ohio and grew up in Cleveland. She worked as an insurance coder for many years. Jane loved playing BINGO and Word Searches. She adored her fur-baby Lilly, who walked into her house 18 ½ years and never left and provided her companionship. On Monday, March 21, 2022 Jane passed away. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, March 25, 2022 at 7 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jane at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-7 PM.
