James Ryhal

JAMES L. RYHAL, JR., aged 91 years, long-time resident of Clifton Blvd., Lakewood, and currently of Judson Park, beloved son of the late James L. Sr. and Eleta (nee Hoffman). Jim was a United States Army Veteran. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland College in 1949, and graduated from Western Reserve University (L.L.B. 1952, J.D. 1968). He was a respected lawyer, serving most of his career with Gallagher, Sharp, Fulton & Norman. He was admitted to partnership with the firm in 1970, and retired in 1992. He was a lecturer for Cleveland Marshall College of Law, Chairman of the Speakers Bureau 1960 – 1965. At Case Western Reserve School of Law Association, Jim was a member of the Board of Governors 1989, treasurer of the association 1993, and President 1994-1998. Jim loved music and was a member of the Cleveland Ballet Board of Trustees, the Metropolitan Opera Association, and attended the Cleveland Orchestra on a regular basis. Jim’s memory will live on through his contributions to the Arts, CWRU Endowment, and with his friends, including, among many, Tom Pecora, Tom Antonello, William White and the late Damion DiFranco.

Funeral services Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at the funeral home at 12 Noon. Burial following with military honors in Lake View Cemetery.
