JAMES S. ROMEO, age 91. Beloved husband for 69 years of Mildred (nee Calabrese); loving father of Annette Zaffiro (husband Carl), Patricia Palmer (husband Dennis) and Charlene Opalich (husband Nicholas); devoted grandfather of Thomas Zaffiro (wife Stacey), Carla Domozick (husband Dan), James Zaffiro (wife Lori), Dena Wilsman, Anthony Zaffiro (wife Erica), Robert Palmer (wife Gina), Deborah Retino (husband Michael), Jamie Ovens (husband Jim), Brandon Opalich (Shanna), Katie Opalich (fiance Nicholas Rogoff) and great-grandfather of 21; cherished brother of Phyllis Sidoti (husband Phil) and the late Rose Orefice (husband Sam, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many; also survived by his friend and caregiver Karen Steg.

Jim was a member of the Carmona Caravan #75 Order of the Alhambra.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Entombment following at Knollwood Mausoleum.

The Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jim at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) MONDAY MORNING 9:30-10:30 AM.
