JAMES ROBERT YEATER

Tribute Service for James R. “Jimmy” Yeater, 65, will be on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square). Mr. Yeater died peacefully at his home on Saturday Oct. 5th, 2013. He was a resident of Painesville for the last 7 years.

Jimmy worked as a machinist at Ohio Rubber, Eltech and Faretec. He loved mowing lawns for all his neighbors, helping anyone, and visiting casinos. Jimmy’s favorite time was Friday night dinners and the Summer Picnic with family. Mr. Yeater proudly served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Conflict Veteran; he was a long-time member of VFW Post 6846 and American Legion Post 112.

He is survived by brothers Denver (Marilyn) and Aubrey “Butch” (Elanor)Yeater; sisters Mae Yager, Nellie (Bill) Egleston, Betty Rigby and Patty (Tony) Capela; he was the dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Mr. Yeater was preceded in death by his parents Goldie (nee Gain) and Benjamin Yeater; sisters Dorothy Piercey and Alice Shaughnessy and brother Jesse Yeater.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jimmy at the Funeral Home Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will follow the service in Maple Grove Cemetery.
