James H. “Jim” Rogers, Jr.

JAMES H. “JIM” ROGERS, JR age 74. Beloved husband for 35 years of Catherine (nee Buck). Loving father of Jeff of Ravenna, Ohio and Michael ( wife Mary) of Pasadena, Maryland. Cherished son of the late James H. Sr. and Julia (nee Bucholtz). Dear brother of Linda Lakatosh (husband Richard) and Gayle Rogers O’Hara. Dearest uncle of Jennifer, Shannon, Patrick, and Ashley. Dear cousin and friend of many.

Jim died on June 26, 2013 in Chardon, Ohio. He was born on May 26, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio. Jim was a US Army Veteran. His hobbies included fishing, camping and watching the Browns, Indians and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family especially seeing all of them at family reunions. He was a retired finish carpenter for the Sherwin Williams Company.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in James memory to American Cancer Society, 781 Crile Rd. Concord, Ohio 44077. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church (Chardon) at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jim at DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon, (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) on SUNDAY from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
