James Grimm

JAMES R. GRIMM age 80, beloved husband for 60 years of Gretchen (nee Young); loving father of Deborah Zako, James Jr., and Susan Grimm; devoted grandfather of Catherine Bell (husband Robert), Brian (wife Megan) and Steven Zako, Bailey (deceased), Kirsten and Sydney Grimm, Brandon McEwen, Timothy Pillot and great-grandfather of 6; cherished son of the late William and Penelope (nee Ritchie); dearest brother of Penelope Speyer (husband Albert); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Jim was born on January 5, 1939 in Cleveland and passed away on April 8, 2019. He was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 52 years, formerly of Euclid and grew up in Lyndhurst. Jim graduated from Brush High School in 1958. He was a member of Mayfield Heights JC. Jim worked for Sysco as a truck driver. He enjoyed researching genealogy and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim loved holidays and will be remembered most as a reserved, family man with a sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jim at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
