JAMES G. GEISWEIDT, age 76, of Eucild, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 7, 2014 after a long, hard- fought, courageous battle with cancer and COPD. He was the beloved husband for 48 years of Rosemary “Rosie” (nee Pejeau); loving father of Sherri Moriarty (husband James “Jimbo”) and Jennifer Weiss (husband DJ); devoted grandfather “Papa” of Brianna, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Alexis and a grandson due in July; cherished son of the late Alfred and Hermine (nee Brezina); dearest brother of Geraldine Schlak (husband Ronald, deceased), Donald (wife Johanna), Alfred, Jr. “Junior” (wife Florence) and the late Joleene Hradisky (husband Robert) and Shirley Williams (husband Donald, deceased); dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle and friend of many.
Jim was a member of Ss. Robert & William Parish and a US Army Veteran. A supervisor at GE Lighting, he retired after working for 39 years. Jim loved to watch TV and especially loved watching Cleveland sports. Jim loved to dance, play the guitar and listen to music, and was a special fan of Elvis Presley. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed playing the harmonica with his grandchildren and whistling with them. The children and grandchildren will forever remember Papa’s special annual Easter Egg Hunt. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds especially the golden finches. Jim was a warm, kind, patient, humble, gentle person who had a great sense of humor and a big, loving heart.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Ss. Robert & William Parish, 367 East 260th St., Euclid, OH 44132 at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at Calvary Cemetery.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jim at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
