JAMES G. XINAKES., 85, passed away on March 27th. Beloved husband of Demitra (nee Dellas). Dear son of the late Gust and Theologia Xinakes. Most loving father of Katherine Beder (Howard, deceased), Janice Harris (George), and Susan Schmiedicker (Alan). Dear brother of Chris Xinakes (deceased) (Pat, deceased). Loving cousin of many in Buffalo, and dear uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Proud grandfather of Gregory, Stephanie, and Zachary Beder, Christina and Alexandra Harris, James and Katie Marie Schmiedicker and loving godfather of many. Born in Buffalo, NY, he graduated from Hutchinson High School where he was awarded “Most Outstanding Senior” of his class, the American Legion Award, and a scholarship to the University of Buffalo where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance. He later entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he worked for the public accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell. Later they moved to Cleveland when he began working for Premier Industrial as Vice President of Accounting and Taxes, specializing in acquisitions and mergers. After 18 years, he left Premier to establish his own company as Founder of West Terrace Inc., a real estate investment and management company. There, he served as Vice President and Treasurer to a commercial and residential real estate portfolio that included no. 1 and no. 33 Public Square. Following retirement in 1992, he joined the Board of Directors of the Commerce and Exchange Bank of Beachwood. At Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, he served as Treasurer of the Building Fund and held many offices as a member of the Parish Council. He also served as the Finance Chairman for the Cathedral’s Greek Festival for many years. All Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3352 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118. Interment Lake View Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Cathedral Memorial Fund. The family will receive friends at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home, 4600 Mayfield Rd., (just east of Green Rd.), South Euclid, Ohio 44121 on SUNDAY from 3:00 TO 7:00 P.M. Trisagion Sunday at 6:30 pm
