JAMES S. “JIMMY” BROOMFIELD, JR., age 25; beloved son of James S. Sr. and Christine (nee Mock); loving brother of Catherine “Callie”; devoted grandson of Paul and Gloria Mock; preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Catherine and John Broomfield and maternal grandmother Lucille Behrendsen; dear nephew, cousin and friend of many.
Jimmy will be greatly missed by his loving family and countless friends. From Bay Village High School to the University of Cincinnati, from Key West to Cleveland, he made friends easily with his contagious smile and infectious laugh. He grew up playing soccer and basketball, and was a true Buckeye’s fan at heart. He could light up the dance floor, loved to socialize with friends old and new, and was a friend who inspired hope, compassion and a sense of optimism in others.
Let it not be lost in his unexpected and all too early death, that Jimmy had a huge heart and an even bigger love for life. Jimmy’s legacy will live on through his decision to be an organ donor.
